The Alaska Kidney Patients Association's FREE Kidney Education Symposium for folks with reduced kidney function, folks at risk for kidney disease, dialysis patients, transplant recipients, and their families and caretakers. The one day symposium gives attendees with the opportunity to ask questions of the expert speakers and choose the topics most relevant to them. Topics this year are: Things Every Kidney Patient Should Know, Protecting Your Kidney Function, Foot Care for CKD and Diabetic Patients, How to be a Sodium Detective, ESRD Basics Medicare Coverage of Kidney Dialysis & Kidney Transplant Services, Herbal Medications and Kidney Disease, Answering your Kidney Questions, and Nourishing your Body for Better Health.

Transportation is available for Anchorage dialysis patients upon request.

Speakers are all professionals connected with kidney disease: Nephrologists, Nurse Practitioners, and Dieticians.
